A lotus pedestal to share our fate.

A temporary banquet, the transient fireworks.
All that is will one day disappear, like a spring dream.

Who sits upon this flower pedestal?

What we ought to do

揺るがないのは
我らの使命 
だから　守るべきもの

その裏に秘められた

疑うことなく
照らされた道を 
歩むことに 迷いはない 
ここに在る意味
問うまでもない 

「ぬしさま…」 

ただ　一向に
守るべきもの

Our mission is unchanging.
That's why we ought to fulfill it.

I do not doubt the need to walk 
the illuminated road ahead of us.  
Nor do I question the reason we are here.

"Master..."

We should simply fulfill our task.

「ぎおんしょうじゃの～かねのこえ～」
「諸行無常の響きあり」 
「沙羅双樹の花の色」 
「盛者必衰の理をあらはす」 
「おごれる人も久しからず」 
「ただ春の夜の夢のごとし」 

二つの力　ぶつかれば 
散る　激しき火の花 
咲き乱れ　咲き狂い 
跡に残るは　一面の血の海 
朱殷に染まった　結末 

「寿永三年二月。一ノ谷にて」 

断崖絶壁を背に　陣を敷く平氏 

崖の上の　義経公は言った 

「絶壁を駆け下り　奇襲をしかける」 

迷うことなく　先陣を切る　勇ましき背中 

「戦の申し子」

 

下りきる前に　勝鬨を上げた 

その声が咲き散らす　勝利の火花 

「寿永四年二月。屋島にて」 

時は夕刻 戦場は　休戦状態 

小舟一隻　平氏からの挑発 

「この扇の的を　射抜いてみよ」 

もしも外せば　源氏の名折れ 

義経公に　嗾けられた 

与一の覚悟

与一の覚悟

「なむはちまん」 

見事射抜いて　凱歌が上がる 

その歌が咲き散らす　勝利の火花 

「寿永四年三月。壇ノ浦にて」 

二つの力　ぶつかって 

舞う　美しき火の花 

咲き乱れ　咲き狂い 

「はじめは潮流に乗った平氏方の優勢」 

「しかし、潮の流れと共に形勢は逆転」 

「敗北を悟った平家一門は 次々と海へ身を投げた」 

「そんな中、平家随一の猛将、平教経は敵の大将を

道連れにしようと、義経の船に飛び乗った」 

「だが、しかし！！」 

ひらり飛び　ゆらり飛び 

船から船へ

平家最期の海 

朱殷に染まった　結末

TRANSLATION 

The bell of the Gion Shoja Temple rings
reminding us of the impermanence of all worldly things.
The color of the sal tree's flowers
shows that all that's fair must fade.
Pride goes before a fall,
like a dream on a spring night.

When two powers clash,
fiery fire flowers will 
blossom in full glory, out of season.
All that will be left is a sea of blood.

An outcome smeared with blood.

"March 1184, the Battle of Ichi-no-tani"

The Taira set up camp beneath the sheer cliffs.
Yoshitsune looked down from above and said:

"We'll descend from this cliff 
and take them by surprise."

Without hesitation he heroically 
led the vanguard into battle.

"The heaven-sent child of war!"

Before he reached the bottom, 
he gave a shout of triumph.
His voice was a spark of victory.

"March 1185, the Battle of Yashima!"

It was night and the battlefield was quiet.
One small boat of the Taira issued a challenge.

"Try and knock this fan of the pole." 

If he missed, it would stain the Genji's honor.
Lord Yoshitsune couldn't back out.
Yoichi was ready. (Yoichi was read.)

"May god be with us!"

He hit the fan and raised a shout of victory.
That song was a spark of victory.

"April 1185, the Battle of Dan-no-Ura."

Their powers clashed
And beautiful fire flowers 
blossomed in full glory, out of season.

"First the Taira had the upper hand."
"But the tide turned against them."
"Realizing their defeat, the Taira's warriors drowned 
themselves into the sea one after another."
"That's when the Taira's bravest general, Taira Noritsune, 
jumped onto Yoshitsune's boat.
"However..."

the Heike found a sailor's grave.

刀剣乱舞　強く強く　鍛えし鋼　今　解き放つとき 
刀剣乱舞　高く高く　誇り　胸に抱きて 
この身　朽ち果てるとも 

美しきその刃　月夜を斬り裂き 
金色の野生　踊ればほら　雷鳴轟く 

たわやかに　白妙の鬼神がごとく
墨染めの剛毅　渾身一撃　断つはあやかしか

この刹那　守るために 
勇みて行かん　湧き立つ力 

刀剣乱舞　熱く熱く　この身を焦がし　今　駆け抜けてく 
刀剣乱舞　永久に永久に　主命　胸に抱きて 
この身　燃え尽きるとも 

戦いの　その果てには　何があるのだろう 
ぼくは　この目凝らす　恐るるものなどあるものか
