夢のお告げ　雲の上なる帝より

汝御剣打てとの命下る

相槌なくては　槌音響かぬ

はてはて　如何したものか

救い求め　参るは稲荷明神

ともに　御剣打とうと化身　現る

相槌手に入れ　槌音響きだす

はった　はった　ちやう　ちやう

はった　はった　ちやう　…（×２）

うち重ねたる　槌の音

天地に響きて　夥し

表に彼の名

裏には我が名

赤々　赤々  揺らめく焔

冴え々 冴え々 光るあど打つ

乱れぬ律の形を成してゆけ

表と裏　夢と現

向かう槌音　向かう槌音

TRANSLATION 

After the emperor had a revelation in a dream,

he ordered me to forge him a sword.

Lacking an assistant, my hammering could not resound.

Well, what am I to do now?

Then the gracious god Inari came to my rescue.

He materialized to forge the sword with me.

Having found an assistant, hammering resounds.

Bang, bang, clang, clang.

Bang, bang, clang.

Bang, bang, clang, clang.

Bang, bang, clang.

The repetitive sound of the hammers coming down 

resounds infinitely in Heaven and Earth.

His name on the front, 

and my name on the back.

The fiercely flickering flames.

The brightly shining metal.

The steady rhythm shaping its form.

Front and back, dreams and reality.

Loud hammering, loud hammering.

Two inscriptions were engraved.
